The Coco Grove Experience: Coco Grove Beach Resort, San Juan, Siquijor
Learn how to chill :) |
It was a relaxing end for a very tiring day.
Upon check-in, we were greeted with the same warmth given to the foreigner beside us by the Filipino crew. Another foreigner had to wait behind us. The warmth and fairness was very appealing.
We took a standard room at P2400 - a price that was expensive compared to other Siquijor Hotels but cheap for a resort hotel. And we soon realized that it was a very cheap price to pay for the experience of being in Coco Grove.
The resort was very well landscaped and every point seemed to have a good view. It's like you're bound to like what you see where ever you sit.
The Coco Grove Experience |
I'm the kind of traveler who appreciates but does not get contented with views. It is, of course, great for photos and relaxing to have pleasant things to look at but I tend to get bored with staring at things so I look for activities.
At the Coco Grove Beach Resort, aside from being welcomed by superb landscaping and a very relaxing bed, we were also introduced to the opportunity of diving or snorkeling at the resort's marine sanctuary by renting diving and snorkeling equipment at the dive shop, swimming on either of the two resort pools, lying down by the moss-free resort shore and going around the resort for a photo walk.
The Coco Grove Beach Resort is all these and more. Coco Grove Beach Resort was a great experience. =)
I wish I could tell you about the sound of the waves crashing to the shore and you can hear it. But there are just just so much that I can put into words that readers won't be able to experience the beauty of.
Like being treated by Filipino crew the same way foreigners are treated has more depth than just that after experiencing the opposite almost every time. The experience of receiving and giving smiles after almost one whole day of search for "What's in Siquijor?" is warmer that written words.
The experience of dining by the shore while you are serenaded by locals and the waves crash behind you is more relaxing than what can be imagined. But close your eyes and try.
and the best thing about coco grove is the 30peso ice cold san miguel beer! best enjoyed in the resto by the beach =)
ReplyDeletewell, beer's no longer at P30. but i love the curry :>
